Put Keywords In Blog Title.

Everyone knows the importance of keywords for search engine optimization in your blog. There are over 8 million blogs in the blogosphere according to Technorati. How do I know this? I just recently claimed this blog at Technorati and received a Rank of 8.911,336. See Picture below :



Hence to enable your blog to appear in the first few pages or the first page of the Google search results you should do some rigorous SEO.


Before starting a blog you should research your important keywords so that you can include them in your Blog link. The search engines index your blog and use the keywords in the blog title, link, post title, blog description and in the content of your blog and in the alt tags of your images within the blog.



You can also put your most important keyword in the title. Your title should itself contain all the primary keywords for your blog. To do this login at Blogger.com and click on Layout link for your blog on the Dashboard. Then click on Edit Html subtab of Template tab. In the template box look for this code at the top of your template :

<title><data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

CHANGE THE ABOVE CODE TO :

<title>KEYWORD | <data:blog.pageTitle/></title>

REPLACE the word 'KEYWORD' with the most important keywords describing your blog. I have used 'Money From Blogs' as you can see at the top of the title of the Home Page for this blog. See Picture below :



As you can see the blog title follows the keyword. Save Template. Clear Cache and View Blog.
